The Village of Walton is a small Victorian village nestled in the Western Catskills, just two and a half hours from New York City.

It is located at the center of the town of Walton, along the West Branch Delaware River. New York State Route 10 passes through the village, leading northeast 16 miles (26 km) to Delhi and southwest 27 miles (43 km) to Deposit.

There will be an emergency meeting of the Village of Walton Board
on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Hall,
21 North St., Walton, NY 13856 for the purpose passing a bond
resolution for the emergency replacement of two clarifiers.


 

 

The Village of Walton is seeking a full-time motor equipment operator with a CDL class B license. This
position would also include laborer duties. Candidate must be able to work well with the public in a
team-oriented work environment. A clean NYS Driver’s license is required. Benefit package includes NYS
Retirement, health, dental & vision insurance, and paid time off. Salary is $24.45 per hour. Applications

The Village of Walton is currently seeking lateral transfers and provisional appointments for a
full-time NYS certified police officer. Qualified applicants must be disciplined, able to work well
with others, and have a good work ethic. The 2024 salary range will be between $57,900 – $66,500
based on years of experience and will increase annually by union contract. The Village offers a
