The Village of Walton is a small Victorian village nestled in the Western Catskills, just two and a half hours from New York City.

It is located at the center of the town of Walton, along the West Branch Delaware River. New York State Route 10 passes through the village, leading northeast 16 miles (26 km) to Delhi and southwest 27 miles (43 km) to Deposit.

Official. The position would be up to 20 hours per week at
a starting wage of $20.00 an hour if not certified.
Certification would need to be obtained within one year
of start date.

Special Board Meeting

There will be a special meeting of the Village of Walton Board of Trustees on April
24, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Hall, 21 North St., Walton, NY 13856 for the
purpose of holding an executive session to discuss Police Personnel and any other
business that comes before the Board.

The Village of Walton is currently seeking a full-time Police Chief.

The preferred candidate should possess exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

Must have a minimum of three years of supervisor experience.

In order to be eligible, candidate must meet the current requirements of Section 58 of the Civil Service Law.

Salary range will be $75,000 – $85,000 and set by the Board based on experience. The Village offers a
competitive benefit package which includes excellent health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and NYS
retirement.
